Our shepherds huts
Our two shepherds huts have been beautifully built by The Shepherds Hut Company in Devon to give you a memorable experience glamping in Kent.
Our shepherds huts and bell tent are heated by a wood burner, have hot running water and an ensuite bathroom with luxury shower and composting toilet. There is a gas hob and oven with grill and a fire pit barbecue for cooking (or chilling) outdoors. There is also a fridge. The huts run from 12v solar power. There are 12v sockets for charges.
Both shepherds huts have hand built bespoke kitchenettes, composting toilet and luxury shower. Hot water, gas hob and oven. LED lights and fridge run on solar power. There is a cosy wood burner to keep you warm. All wood supplied. Luxury, peaceful glamping in Kent on a family farm brilliantly located for Eurotunnel channel tunnel, Dover ferry port, Dover Castle and for exploring historic Canterbury and Kent, the Garden of England.
Our shepherds huts are aimed at people who want a wild tranquil escape. They are 1/2km away from the nearest road and dwelling.
The woodland shepherds hut sleeps two adults and two young children. Relax and enjoy the calmness of our ancient woodland with bird song such as the wren. At night you may even see and hear many night time creatures.
The valley shepherds hut is set in calcareous grassland which hosts wild flowers such as egg and bacon, orchids, bluebells and cowslips. Also during May the wild broom flowers a beautiful yellow. The valley shepherd hut sleeps 2 adults and 1 child on a inflatable mattress. Relax take in the views and listen to the skylarks and buzzards above.
Doggies (max 2 in the woodland shepherds hut) are very welcome and will enjoy the fabulous walkies here.
And…
We will supply bread, jam, butter, milk from local dairy together with an alternative milk upon arrival. Various teas and filter coffee, porridge oats and cornflakes are also included. Further milk and bread can be purchased from the local dairy and bakery. You can order a breakfast hamper which includes local free range sausages and bacon, eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms and baked beans. There is also a veggie version. BBQ packs are also locally sourced free range meat to complete your glamping in Kent experience.
