Valley shepherd hut NEW for 2026
Our old Woodland Hut will be joining the valley hut on the hill. Both huts will be let as one unit. The valley hut as it is now and the second hut a lounge and extra bed hut to sleep a total of 7. Great for families and hen doos mixing in some goat yoga/walks! Calendar blocked from February to implement new price structure (those already booked in we’ll honor the original price).
Our valley shepherd hut is set in a stunning location nestled amongst trees on a valley hillside with beautiful views. It is heated by a wood burner, has hot running water and an ensuite with shower and composting toilet with the addition of an outside composting toilet as well.
Our valley shepherd hut has been beautifully built by The Shepherds Hut Company in Devon to give you a memorable experience glamping in Kent. It has a hand built bespoke kitchenette, composting toilet and good size shower. Hot water, hob and oven run by gas. LED lights and fridge run by solar power. There is a cosy wood burner to keep you warm. Wood supplied for autumn to spring season for the wood burner. You can buy a bag of logs for the firepit. Our hut is aimed at people who want a wild tranquil escape. It is 1/2km away from the nearest road and dwelling. The valley hut is set in calcareous grassland which hosts wild flowers such as orchids, bluebells and cowslips. Also during May the wild broom flowers a beautiful yellow.
For cooking there is the gas hob, an oven with grill and a fridge. The hut runs from 12v solar power. There are 12v sockets for chargers.
The valley shepherd hut sleeps 2 adults in a double bed. For children you can pitch a tent outside and NEW FOR 2025 you can invite family or friends to join you in their own tent to pitch near by. Simply add on before check out.
You can relax on the wooden gazebo area or tree bench swing and take in the views and listen to the skylarks and buzzards above. Doggies are very welcome and will enjoy the fabulous walkies here.

The valley hut is 150m up the valley hillside from allocated car park so guests must be physically able to get up steep hills. We can assist with luggage on our golf buggy.
