From 2023, we are offering camping spots for you to bring your own tent, campervan, or caravan (call to discuss gateways). We offer a different experience to the usual campsite. A vast area with only a few pitches. This gives you the feel of wild camping but with standpipes, composting loos, and high-quality showers.
As the site is not near buildings or roads, it is off-grid. There are no electric hook ups or chemical waste disposal. There is a freezer, where you can recharge your ice packs, at the farm, which is a short walk away.
There are 2 composting loos, and 2 hot gas showers (in our beautifully converted horse trailer). More people can camp in the woodland if all together but would need to hire the Woodland Hut too.
Weather permitting vehicles can be with your tents in the woods but if wet we may ask you to park outside the woodland where the cars will still be in site of woodland sunny glade area. Valley pitches there is a parking area nearby. This doesn’t apply to campervans but if overly wet (hopefully not bring on a hot summer!!) we may have to offer alternative pitch parking.
Campervans woodland only. If weather is dry there may be the option of the valley but this will only be known on a last basis and on speaking with us prior to booking.
Each camping spot is in it’s own private area, 2 in the woodland and 2 in our wild valley. Campfires are allowed, but during very dry times we will have to restrict fires to certain areas as the valley becomes a tinder box.
Dogs are very welcome and are allowed off lead if they stay nearby. We do have livestock on our farm roaming free, so dogs must be on a lead when walking up from the valley to the farm yard.
If the weather is damp, we may ask you to park outside the woodland fenced area, just to save wear and tear on our woodland floor. Your car will still be near. This of course doesn’t apply to campervans. But if excessively damp we may have to offer an alternative pitch
£40 per pitch per night.
