What our guests say:

What can we say, this place was amazing!
Hannah and Mark are lovely hosts and went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. Such a peaceful and relaxing holiday, we plan to book again very soon!

We stayed at Woodland hut and had an absolutely wonderful time. The hut is very cozy and well maintained with many nice touches. The hut is located within a really beautiful woodland clearing and is a perfect place to stargaze. Optional breakfasts/BBQs are highly recommended – they are of the very high quality and were a pleasant highlight of our stay. There are plenty of really nice walks around with several pubs in ~30min walking distance.
Overall, it was a lovely stay and we would gladly stay there again.

A beautiful and peaceful location, tucked away on a farm. Surrounded by woods and wonderful walks, it is a great place to relax. Having stayed in the woodland hut last year, we tried the valleyside hut this time. Being able to watch the sun set, sat in the swing seat under the oak tree, wrapped in our coats with mugs of hot coffee, it was marvellous place to unwind. The very chilly mornings gave a great excuse for Ash, my husband, to practice his fire lighting skills and light up the wood burning stove. And the breakfasts, provided by Hannah, were excellent – bacon and sausages from the local farm shop, and we especially love Hannah’s homemade granola and muffins. It’s our favourite hideaway.
Can’t wait to get back there.

Just spent a glorious few days in the valley hut, so so peaceful with spectacular views. Hannah and Mark have designed the hut to perfection, everything is catered for. Our dog Betty loved it as well, so many amazing walks and places to explore. Sad to leave but will go back soon.
The perfect antidote to the situation in 2020, away from it all!

Hannah was a great host from start to finish. The Shepherds hut was exactly as described, the bed was exceptionally comfortable and the fire kept us very cosy throughout the night. The location was idyllic and secluded and provided the perfect weekend getaway.
Overall, we couldn’t have hoped for more and look forward to returning.

Wow! This little hut ticked all the boxes for a quick get away. The pictures are accurate but they really don’t do it justice- its so much better. It says you get the whole valley to yourself and thats exactly what you get. Totally alone in the middle of nature, what’s not to love about that. The heavens decided to open as we arrived and continued right through the night however this only made our stay more charming! Getting cosy around a fire listening to the wind and rain outside was so soothing.
Exactly what we needed.

Hannah is the perfect host, communication was spot on from the day we booked. We ordered the brekkie pack for the 2 of us, and Hannah was kind enough to get us a bbq pack in too! The food was fresh and good quality, including fresh milk and fresh lemon cakes also waiting for us. Hannah also helped us up with our bags in her jeep while we walked up the valley to get settled. The hut is finished to a high standard super clean, comfortable bed plus everything you could need. Hannah really has thought of everything! Couldn’t recommend higher.
We will 100% be going back – but for longer.

The most amazing and priceless weekend away.
Perfect accommodation in such a beautiful and secluded setting.

Had the most amazing weekend in the fabulous valley hut. Such a peaceful location overlooking the valley surrounded by wildflowers, birds and other wildlife. The hut is beautifully decorated and well equipped with everything you might need.
Will definitely be returning!

Just adore this place!
Perfect in every way, in fact it is so nice that the last time we stayed we originally booked 3 nights and ended up extending to 6!

Had the most wonderful and perfect weekend 6/7/8th April 18, in the Valley Shepherd hut – we were also blessed with fantastic sunny weather. A lot of love and thought has gone into creating this idyllic and blissful place. Breakfast was great too!! We had the most amazing walk along to Elham Way to Barham and back, just so lovely to see all the spring flowers, lambs and much more including lunch at the Duke of Cumberland in Barham. also recommend the Sunday lunch at Abbots fireside – one of the best we’ve had – also vegetarian option available!
A big thank you to Hannah and Mark and the children for making our stay so beautiful.
