Woodland wedding ceremonies and receptions in Kent

We are a family arable farm on the outskirts of the historic village of Elham and are offering 3 day exclusive use of the farm for wedding ceremonies and receptions.
We offer a blank canvas hire so that you can create the day of your dreams

Clavertye Weddings ceremonies and receptions in Kent book early

Hold your ceremony either in Clavertye Wood or our valley with beautiful views. Clavertye Wood, once home to Clavertye Manor offers bluebell springtime weddings with changing flora and fauna throughout the seasons. Both locations have a luxury shepherds hut that is included in the hire. Your guests can bring their own tents and camp out in the meadow.

Wedding ceremony horse and trap Kent

You can even bring your own horse for the wedding or hire Steptoe our piebald cob to carry you in his Victorian Governess cart to your ceremony.

Well behaved dogs are very welcome.

Hire charges

Option 1: £3100

(plus £1000 refundable damages deposit)

includes the following:

Exclusive use of the farmland for 3 days and 2 nights
2 luxury shepherds huts
Up to 150 guests
2 Composting loos

Car parking
Water
Amplified music until 11pm (wedding night only)

Large emperor bell tent
Camping BYO tents or hire bell tents
No corkage
Disabled access
Use your own suppliers
Well behaved dogs very welcome
Clear up and recycling
(Not food waste and caterers must take their own rubbish)
No VAT

You will need:

Extra loos & possibly showers for your guests if camping over
(cheaper option – solar showers)
Generator for electric
Marquee/tipi
Logs for firepits (smokeless if needed inside tent)
Wedding Insurance

Extras

Bring your own horse for use in wedding – £50
Vintage VW T2 bay window campervan to carry bride to ceremony
and use for photos – £180
Steptoe and Victorian Governess Cart to carry bride to ceremony
and use for photos – £350
Straw bale hire – £2.50 each. Loaded up, delivered and taken away.
(Refund of £1.00 per bale if dry)
Hire of 2 firepits – £10 each

Terms and conditions

All visits for planning need to be arranged prior to arrival.
Bookings require 50% deposit and remaining balance together with £1000 damages deposit to be paid 12 weeks before event
(payments made by direct transfer)
Signed contract at the time of the 50% deposit
Deposits and final payments are non refundable
(damages deposit IS refundable)
Hirer to be on site to receive suppliers
Music no later than 11pm
Taxis no later than 11.30pm
Restriction of walking in certain areas within woodland during bluebell season to maintain flora
Only petal confetti
Any dogs coming must be discussed before day of wedding
(please be aware of dog charges for the shepherds huts)

Option 2: £1500

(plus £300 refundable damages deposit)

includes the following:

Use of Woodland & meadow for ceremony and afternoon
Two night use of Woodland Hut for bride and groom
Up to 50 guests (if more discuss)
Car parking
Composting loos
Disabled access
Access to Woodland the day before ceremony
No corkage
Disabled access
Well behaved dogs very welcome
Clear up and recycling
(Not food waste and caterers must take their own rubbish)
No VAT
