Goat walk experiences
We have a variety of characters in our goat/sheep herd. Some super cheeky and others super chilled.
When you click to book you will see there are the options of Join a Goat Walk or Book Your Own Goat Walk. Option 1 is joining a walk with others and option 2 is a private walk for your group. Contact me if you want a private walk experience on a different day or time as I may be able to accommodate.

Dogs cannot join walks. If you’re holidaying with your dog, they can stay in your car in one of our barns to keep them cool

Meet at our beautiful farm in the Kent countryside. Either myself, Mark or my fabulous helpers Tracey and Francesca will introduce you to Custard, Mustard, Carrot, Parsnip, Yin, Sprite, Milkshake, Latte, Biscoff, Banoffee, Moon, Willow, Mini Moo, Panda our fabulous goats, and Kerbie & Klaus, our Valais Black Nose Sheep.
How our goaty story began
A feed customer of ours breeds goats for showing and milk, and we found out the babies are removed from their mothers at birth, and the males are surplus. I wanted to take on the unwanted, and so it began. Custard and Mustard were the first to arrive on the farm in 2021, aged 8 weeks. We found that they just loved being around us and coming for walks. So we began offering walks to our glamping guests.
A year on, I knew there would be more unwanted males, so I booked 2 more. This time a Golden Guernsey, Carrot, and a Saanan, Parsnip. They arrived 1 April 2022, only 2 weeks old. They bonded with us straight away as their caregivers. I feel so much reward taking these guys on and giving them a full life. By booking a goat walk, you help keep them stimulated and support their keep. Since then our herd has grown and we now have 3 ladies also Sprite, Biscoff & Banoffee.
When you book a goat walk you will join other members of the public unless you book onto a private walk.
After meeting at our farm, and introducing you to the goats and sheep, we’ll head off through the woods and down into the valley with the animals walking along side you as a heard. We’ll walk through our beautiful wild valley taking in the views and wild flowers. You may see various birds including yellow hammers, skylarks and buzzards. The walk is leisurely, as the goats will have lots of stops for nibbles along the way.
The goats are super friendly and you will see their fun, cheeky characters. Being goats, please be aware that they may play butt, especially Crazy Custard and Yin. This is true goat behaviour, hence for younger children only part of the herd can go out.
In their field, you can give them a brush (which they love), and just chill with them.
The terrain isn’t suitable for normal wheelchairs but mobility scooters will do fine. If someone is in a wheelchair, we can adapt to a smaller walk and more time in the field with them.
Why not stay with us too, in our Valley Shepherds Hut or our secluded camping pitches.
DOGS – if you are holidaying with a dog they cannot attend goat walks, however they can stay in your car within one of our large barns to keep cool.
Goat walks are up to an hour and a half in total.

Goat Herding/Keeper Holiday
During the quieter winter months (November to March) why not come and stay on the farm and spend many interactive hours with our fabulous goats. Book one goat walk hosted by us and then join another walk for free (this is only for the people staying in the hut but paying friends can also book on). You can also spend time in the field with them brushing and just hanging with them. You can then return to the Shepherds Hut for a hot chocolate by woodburning stove or outside round the firepit.
You will really get to know their funny characters during your stay and how to look after them. Custard does like to play butt which can also include jumping up on his hind legs. It is all meant with love and no nastiness but confidence with animals is a must.
This is strictly for adults and very confident children over 1.4 average 12 years.
Certain dates will be restricted due to goat walks. Make contact before you book your hut to make sure dates available.
